Our Operations Manager, Sam Shevyn, and Mechanical Design Manager, Tom Batham, have been taking part in a six month STEM project, focusing on designing and creating a product to help homelessness within the UK.

The team of six Castle High School pupils developed a one-person tent with a filter installed to collect rain water and turn this into drinking water. The project encourages young pupils from schools within the Dudley Borough to get involved with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events. The concluding event took place in the Hangar building of Dudley College, one of the campus’s latest buildings, where judges evaluated product designs from a total of 20 local participating schools.
