Overview

We have worked collaboratively with our key customers to develop an innovative, next generation of test machine and environmental chamber that is capable of testing at extremely high pressures, with optional environmental or steam capabilities, to carry out new testing applications that have not previously been possible.

Our high pressure testing systems has been designed in-house by our team of design and mechanical engineers, and includes a dedicated 50kN Phoenix machine with environmental chamber, designed for testing high pressures up to 100bar**, while also achieving elevated temperatures of 1000°C.

The high-pressure test system is suitable for testing in a range of gaseous environments (inert, corrosive, oxygen enriched), with the option to include steam testing capabilities. Our high pressure machine is ideal for testing metallic, ceramic or composite samples or components for a variety of industries, including aerospace and nuclear R&D.

** The activities identified with ** are not UKAS accredited.

Temperature Controlled Testing

In addition to our high-pressure testing capabilities, we also offer a range of subcontract services for temperature-controlled testing. Our test lab can carry out extremely low temperature testing down to -190°C, high temperature testing up to 200°C, and extremely high temperature testing up to 2000°C.

We have a variety of machines, equipment, heating and cooling methods to suit your sample and testing requirements.

Case Study

Phoenix specialises in designing and manufacturing bespoke test machines and equipment for a variety of sectors across the world.
