Fastener testing is performed to analyse the maximum strain a bolt, nut or screw can take before failing. Wedge testing is carried out on hex or square head fasteners to understand how much stress the component can withstand, while proof load testing aims to establish the maximum load a component is able to lift without failing.
Using our 1600kN test machine, we offer fastener testing on a wide range of sample sizes, up to M42.
We have a wide range of fixtures for testing large samples, including:
- Compression platens up to 750mm x 1010mm,
- Fixtures for testing full-sized bolts up to M42 or 1 5/8” (UTS, Tensile, Wedge and Proof loads)
- Proof loading of nuts up to M42 or 1 5/8”
- 3 and 4 point bend fixtures with an adjustable roller span up to 1000mm
- Variety of mandrels with adaptors
If we do not already have the fixture brackets, our in-house team can design and manufacture the parts to suit your specific needs.
