The work of the Phoenix team will ensure that our customer remains compliant to UKAS Testing requirements.
As part of our visit, we carried out Force calibration on several large-scale tensile rope testing machines to BS EN ISO 7500-1 standards.
This is a unique job for our Service and Calibration team, as the machine are considerably different to any other that we work with and vary in size from 8-tonne up to 200-tonne and require bespoke fittings tailored to the equipment.
Why choose a contract?
Our service and calibration contracts are designed to take the hassle out of arranging yearly calibration services, giving our customers ongoing calibration cover and maintenance services throughout the length of their contract.
Our contracts include calibration only, or can be combined with our preventative maintenance services to include oil sample analysis, oil and filter changes, and accumulator pressure checks.
This gives our customers peace of mind that their machines are well maintained and regularly serviced and calibrated.
We offer a range of calibration contracts, covering two, three or five years, and we can also include full and intermediate service visits if required.
Ryan Hart, Service and Calibration Engineer at Phoenix, says: “During this year’s annual calibration visit, we met a different engineer, who was controlling the machines, and that meant that we were able to use our experience from those previous visits to assist in the setup of the load cell in the machines. It works much better for all our customers to have an annual programme of service and calibration, to ensure that there is a bank of knowledge about each machine.”
